You are no longer
in crisis.

But you are not back yet.

The Build Lab is a 4-week guided practice for people who are ready to stop improvising their recovery and start building it deliberately — with the right practices, reinforced in the right order.

You are in Build if this sounds familiar

  • You are past the acute crisis, but you are not back to who you were, and you are not sure you want to be.
  • You have more capacity than before, but you are still managing your energy carefully and you do not want to blow it on the wrong things.
  • You have tried a lot of things. Some worked. Most were designed for people who are either healthy or in crisis — not for the long middle.
  • You are tracking something — HRV, sleep, pain levels — but you do not have a clear framework for what you are building toward.
  • You want to be in a room with people who actually understand the long timeline, not people who recovered in three months and want to tell you about it.

Four weeks. Three acts.

Body → Mind → World → Forward

Sleep & Breath

You leave knowing your sleep window, why it matters biologically, and with one coherent breathing practice you have actually tested. Your nervous system has a baseline it did not have before.

Nutrition & Identity

You leave with a protein target that supports tissue repair, a simple hydration protocol, and one expressive writing practice that has already begun clearing the mental load you have been carrying.

Community & Relationships

You leave having mapped your relationships honestly — who showed up, who faded, and what you now know you need. You have named one thing that changed in you out loud to someone who was there.

Integration & Forward

You leave with a personal 30-day protocol — three practices chosen from the sprint that you will carry forward. You have done one act of genuine play. You know what Expand looks like for you.

Not just information.
A protocol that is yours.

🌙

A sleep window you protect

Not a tip. An identity shift around how you treat your own recovery.

🫁

A breath practice that works in real life

Coherent breathing you have tested under mild stress, not just in a quiet room.

✍️

A writing practice for hard weeks

Expressive writing as a mechanical release valve, not a journaling exercise.

🥗

A nutrition template you can actually follow

Protein and hydration targets built around your energy, not a meal plan.

🗺️

A relationship map

A clear picture of who is in your corner now, and what you need from them.

📋

Your 30-day protocol

Three practices — chosen by you — that you will carry into the next month.

🧭

A sense of what Expand looks like

A clear picture of what comes next, when you are ready for it.

Rebecca

I am still in Build.

That is the point.

I am Rebecca. I write about post-traumatic growth at @rebeccavrse and on my Substack, Away Messages. I have been navigating Long COVID, vaccine injury, and multiple rounds of IVF for nearly five years.

I am not recovered and looking back. I am tracking my HRV, managing my pain levels, and mapping the path forward in real time. I have spoken to hundreds of practitioners and patients. I have tested these practices on my own body, in my own life, with my own energy limitations.

The Build Lab is not a course I designed from the outside. It is the program I needed and could not find. I am running it beside you.

What you might be wondering

Is this only for people with Long COVID?+

No. The Build Lab is for anyone in the Build phase of recovery — wherever that recovery began. Long COVID, IVF, burnout, chronic illness, grief, or any prolonged hard chapter. The phase is what qualifies you, not the diagnosis.

What if I fall behind or miss a week?+

The group runs at a pace that accounts for variable energy. Nothing is graded. Nothing is required. You take what is useful and leave what is not. The content stays in the group so you can return to it.

Is this medical advice?+

No. The Build Lab is a peer-guided program. Rebecca shares what worked for her and curates tools that have research behind them. This is not a substitute for medical care. Please consult your own healthcare providers for medical decisions.

How much time does it take each week?+

The scheduled content arrives on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Each post takes 5–15 minutes to engage with. The experiments are designed to fit into your existing day, not add to it. Wednesday and Friday are responsive — no new content, just conversation if you want it.

What platform does the group run on?+

WhatsApp. No new app to download. No platform to learn. Just a small, private group that you can engage with at whatever pace works for you.

You have been in the long middle

long enough.

The Build Lab is for people who are ready to stop waiting to feel better and start building toward it — deliberately, at a pace that respects where they actually are.
